The first super tournament for computers for 2011 is starting. TCEC Premier Division finals begin today with the participation of the world's top engines. Follow the games daily with live analysis.

Live chess broadcast powered by ChessBomb and Chessdom
There are currently 3 seperate Divisions: 1, 2 and 3 where 1 is the "Premier" Division. Each Division consists of 8 engines. In each season, 56 games will be played per Division, which means a double round robin where everyone of the 8 participating engines play each other twice. The openings are made so that they are random per engine pair in rounds 1-7. In rounds 8-14 the colors are reversed, with the same openings and pairs, so all in all this means that each engine plays both black and white of the same position versus the same opponent. Note that the traditional scoring system has been replaced with a 3-1-0 system meaning 3 points for a victory, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss.
If an engine currently scheduled to play in any Division has been released in a new version, this new version takes the place of the old version, but only if the Division hasn't started yet. So during a Division being played, no engine upgrades are allowed. When a season ends, meaning that all 3 Divisions and the Elite Match have been played, the top two engines are promoted to the Division above, and the bottom two engines are demoted to play in the Division below for the next season. In Division 3, the two bottom engines will be replaced by two new engines (or previous engines which has been released in a newer version) so they are out of the TCEC system for the coming season. If necessary, tiebreaks can be used to determine promotions and demotions. The first tiebreak critera is the Sonneborn-Berger. If still a tie, the greatest number of wins decides. In case of still being tied, then the direct encounter between the tied engines decides. If by a miracle they are still tied, then the tournament director decides which engine gets the promotion.
Each game presented on this site is played with a time control of 40 moves in 100 minutes, the next 20 moves in 50 minutes, then finally 20 minutes for the rest plus 10 seconds added per move at this last time control. If an engine loses on time for various reasons the result will stand - hence the game will not be replayed. All opening moves are randomly fetched from a PGN file which contains 215.945 different openings. They are all fixed to 12 moves / 24 plies.

EJERCICIOS

nr profesor Navarro Omar

Vugar Gashimov claims the trophy on better tiebreak
Vugar Gashimov and Francisco Vallejo Pons did not bother much in the last round of the 53rd Reggio Emilia tournament and signed quick draws to jointly cut the ribbon with 6 points each. However, Gashimov was awarded the winner's trophy thanks to the higher additional criteria.

In the other games, Michele Godena held the Italian champion Fabiano Caruana to a draw, while David Navara gradually outplayed Nigel Short after emerging better out of the opening.

Vassily Ivanchuk wisely exchanged pieces from the Nimzo-Indian opening to enter a better endgame in the match against Alexander Morozevich. With white holding a Bishop and a distant passed pawn, black had slim chances to survive. Morozevich tested if his opponent knows how to checkmate with a Bishop and a Knight, but the Ukrainian's technique was impeccable.53o Torneo di Capodanno en Reggio Emilia

The 40th Rilton Cup, managed by the Stockholm Chess Federation, was played from 27th December 2010 to 5th January 2011 at the Mälarsalen in Stockholm, Sweden. 70 players, led by the Super-Grandmasters Arkadij Naiditsch, Ivan Sokolov, Bartlomiej Macieja and Emanuel Berg competed in the main Rilton Cup. In addition, 82 lower rated people entered the Rilton Elo event.

The earlier Rilton Cup winners Radoslaw Wojtaszek and Eduardas Rozentalis were not in the starting list.

Russian Grandmasters Sergey Volkov and Aleksandr Shimanov dominated the tournament with a series of victories and entered the final round being full point ahead of the opposition. Volkov then takes the great performance further by beating the Polish Grandmaster Bartlomiej Macieja with black pieces. Meanwhile, Shimanov drew GM Ivan Sokolov.

Thus Volkov takes a clear first place with impressive 8.0 points from nine games, half a point clear of the second-placed Shimanov. Then a full point behind are top-seed Arkadij Naiditsch, Swedish GM Lars Karlsson and another Russian, GM Sergey Ivanov.

Jugador domain that did not like complications. Tell him that his style dry and calm reminiscent of Capablanca (aloof). In the tournaments are satisfied with a draw against tough opponents and defeat enemies weaker (tactic in vogue today). Flohr was also capable of delivering a good game of attack when the opportunity arose to do so (there are several examples on this website). almost always got great results in tournaments and achieved many victories (Hastings 1933, 1934, Barcelona 1935, Moscow 1935, Podebrady 1936, 1937 and 1939 Kemeri, etc ...). It also participated in several Olympic Games and in a candidate tournament (where not too bright). The popularization of chess in the USSR began with a decision of the Soviet state: "Take the chess to the workers. " Government support was to be a chess player to become a profession solvent. The popularity of chess in the USSR and was in time of the Czars, but this new impetus led to the emergence of the Soviet school defending clear principles: a scientific and critical trends, tireless search for new, a struggle against the ideas and scholastic dogmatism (as this stifles the spirit of innovation). You can read as Trotsky relates the beginning of the revolution in chess: The Soviet players monopolized the World Championship from 1946 to 1991, with the exception of the title won by the American Fischer in 1972. During that period they have had 8 world champions, plus some of its members who remained on the threshold of maximum degree, as Geller or Bronstein. Again, rival the Olympics did not know, getting the victory on 18 occasions out of 19 in which participaron.Pero achievements were not limited to the results in various competitions, the players made many contributions to the theory and its contribution was decisive for many fans closer to the world of chess. The selection Soviet traveled throughout the world, in match match to the delight of fans from several countries. You can see the development of several of these meetings: Just after the end of World War II, the two major world powers decided to hold a chess match. It was back to normal after the hardness and misery of war. Furthermore, this meeting was a pioneer, as it was the first to be held through a medium like radio. The Soviet players playing from the Central Club Moscow Art teachers. The Americans were from the Henry Huson Hotel in New York. 5 minutes were needed to pass every play, for a total of 2163 plays submitted. Salo Flohr played a beautiful game in the fourth board. The tension in each game was great, was much that was at stake. Flohr said: "I've played against many great teachers and even the world champions, and have never felt tremendous pressure as I felt at this meeting, because as a Soviet citizen had to defend the honor of our chess."

To be in crisis (the truth is that it has lost more games than expected) Magnus Carlsen is not doing anything wrong. The Norwegian re-release year as number one with 2,814 Elo points, again ahead of world champion Viswanathan Anand Indian (2810), who nevertheless set a personal record. The sad paradox is that FIDE has confirmed that Carlsen is excluded (for questionable choice) the next world championship cycle.
As expected, Judit Polgar (2686) maintains smooth his eternal female lead in the standings, while among the Spanish, the best news is that Galician Ivan Salgado (2626) is among the top ten juniors in the world. Shirov is ranked 24th (2722) and Vallejo 40 (2698), although Paco continued his sensational performance in Reggio Emilia, soon gain positions closer to Shirov.
Vallejo, accustomed for years to the largest measured
In the overall standings, Armenian Levon Aronian sits at number 3, also in the exclusive club of 2,800, a figure that exceeds by five points. Room can see the former champion Vladimir Kramnik (2784), ahead of Russian Sergey Karjakin (2776) and his old rival Veselin Topalov (2775). He also poker player Alexander Grischuk is seventh, while Mamedyarov, Ivanchuk, and Nakamura close the American top ten.

Torneo di Capodanno in Reggio Emilia - Round Seven-

Vugar Gashimov defeats Paco Vallejo, catches him on the shared first place
A modest opening and equal middlegame didn\'t promise much excitement. But as the pieces were gradually traded off, Gashimov succeeded in creating some imbalances in the queenside structure, well worth of the sacrificed pawn. Vallejo didn\'t find the most precise moves in the endgame and eventually admitted the defeat.

traduccion
KILO SYSTEM: This system is one of the most secure and simple. I watched him after more than 4000 balls. After more than 100 cylinders (for each cylinder are 38 balls followed by the same wheel) and never fails. Of course, in some displacement may leave a loser, but in many many leaves and thus save you money by far. The system is simple and not very logical, it's just something I saw that gives and gives and gives and is always given in a cylinder

The method is as follows:

After 2 balls, one before and after playing the last ball and the front and back of the ball before the final.

I mean, Exit 12, then 26 ... in the next ball he plays: 11,13,25,27
Then get the 3 in the prox ... you play ball: 25,27,2,4 (left to bet on 11, 13)
Then get the 30 ... in the prox ball play him: 2,4,29,31 and so ...
Always 2 numbers, 4 sheets per ball (except the exceptions explained below).
The way to play the progressions and everything, I let a player like, you can expect 10 or 12 balls from escaping and entering aq I q ... not worth starting from the beginning because the box would be more $ 1000 ...
Clarification: if you leave the 0 or 36 only 1 record is played at 1 and 35 respectively (since no previous at 0 and later on the 36).

El Rey en el Centro

nr/Battaglia Horacio

Fabiano Caruana was born on 30th July 1992 in Miami, Florida (USA), from an Italian-American father and an Italian mother. At the age of 4 he moved with his family to Park Slope, a district of Brooklyn in which also the young Bobby Fischer had lived for some time, and his talent for chess came out one year later thanks to a program of after-school activities of the Congregation Beth Elohim. Fabiano played his first chess tournament at the Polgar Chess Centre in Queens, another borough of New York. Until the age of 12 he lived and played in the USA, with just sporadic participation to European and South-American tournaments. Caruana's first trainer, when he was 6, was national Master Bruce Pandolfini, whose character, in the movie “Searching for Bobby Fischer” (1993), was played by Ben Kingsley. From age 8 to 12 Caruana trained with GM Miron Sher. In 2002, aged 10, he rose to fame among chess enthusiasts by defeating GM Aleksander Wojtkiewicz in New York. In the same year and in the following one Caruana won two consecutive editions of the Pan American Youth Chess Championships. In 2004 Fabiano and his family moved from New York to Madrid, in Spain, to increase his dedication to chess. There Fabiano trained first with IM Boris Zlotni, then and ever since , after moving again to Budapest in 2007, with GM Alexander Chernin. In April 2006 Caruana earned the International Master title, and at his first participation in the Italian Championship (Cremona 2006) he scored an excellent second place at the end of an enthralling Blitz tie-break against GM Michele Godena. In the same year he also won the tournaments in Madrid and Alcalá de Henares. In 2007, lining up three wins out of three attendances (March, April and July) to the “First Saturday” tournaments in Budapest, Fabiano conquered three Grand Master norms in a row, thus qualifying, on 15th July 2007, at the age of 14 years, 11 months and 15 days, for the highest chess title and becoming the youngest GM in both Italian and American history of chess (he even outperformed the legendary Bobby Fischer!), and one of the world youngest. The FIDE ratified the GM title in September 2007, making of Caruana the fifth Italian player ever to reach the maximum chess international title. Few weeks after Caruana celebrated his new GM title by winning the Vlissingen tournament: on the last round he coldly drew an 82-moves game against the former FIDE World Champion GM Rustam Kasimdzhanov, and won the tournament with a performance of 2715 Elo points. On 4th December 2007, in Martinafranca, Fabiano Caruana achieved his first Italian Chess Champion title with an authoritative 9.5 points out of 11 games, a terrific 3 points clear of pursuers IM Sabino Brunello and GM Carlos Garcia Palermo. Caruana's first international consecration among top players was his victory in Group C of the Corus Tournaments in Wijk aan Zee, in January 2008. With a score of 10 points out of 13 games, he outdistanced his closest pursuer by two points. This victory made him the first Italian chess player ever to overcome 2600 Elo points, topping at 2620 Elo points on the 1st April 2008 FIDE Ranking List. In November 2008 Caruana played on first board in the Italian national team at the Chess Olympiad in Dresden, scoring an excellent performance and defeating, among others, the English GM Michael Adams, no. 12 in the FIDE Ranking List. On 14th December 2008, in Martinafranca, Caruana reconfirmed Italian Chess Champion with a score of 8/11, half a point clear of GM Michele Godena. In November 2009 Fabiano would have then been unable to defend his national title (eventually won by GM Lexy Ortega) because of his participation to the World Cup in Khanty-Mansjysk, Siberia, in which he made his way through to the eighth finals, where he was eliminated by the Azerbaijani GM Vugar Gashimov. In January 2009 Caruana, qualified by his victory in previous year's Group C, was admitted to play in the Group B of the Corus Tournaments in Wijk aan Zee (16th FIDE category, average Elo 2641). At the last round Caruana, second to the English GM Nigel Short, was to play right against the tournament leader. After almost 6 hours of play and 67 moves, Caruana managed to win game and tournament scoring 8.5/13 and a performance of 2751 Elo points. In the history of the prestigious Corus Tournaments, Caruana shines as the sole player capable of winning Group C and Group B tournaments in two consecutive years. This victory granted him the right to play in the main Group A tournament on the following year, in January 2010. In April 2009 Caruana then played in the 16th Russian Team Championship in Sochi, closing in second place with the Muscovite team “Club 64” and scoring 5 points out of 6 games (+5, -1) with an Elo performance of 2896 points. In May, in Slovenia, he played in the Mitropa Cup with the Italian national team, scoring 6 points out of 8 games and receiving the gold medal on 1st board with a performance of 2729 Elo points: he was instrumental to the the Italian team's 2nd place (but just by tie-break!) after the Croatian team. Fabiano then played with the “Linex Magic” team in the Spanish Team Championship, winning also this championship. In January 2010 Fabiano played in the Group A of the Corus Tournaments, that lined up almost all world's strongest chess players in a stellar tournament of 19th FIDE category. Fabiano performed very well, closing undefeated the matches against FIDE Ranking List's no. 1 (GM Carlsen), no. 3 (GM Anand) and no. 4 (GM Kramnik), actually with big regrets for missing by a narrow margin the win against the Norwegian GM Carlsen, winner of the tournament. After winning the 17th Russian Team Championship in Dagomys with the team “ShSM-64” and, in April, the German Team Championship with the team “OGS-Baden”, Fabiano in May won his first Italian Team Championship in Arvier with the team “Obiettivo Risarcimento Padova. He then played in the Mitropa Cup in Chur (Switzerland): improving over the previous year, the Italian national team (Caruana, Godena, Vocaturo, Brunello and Denis Rombaldoni) took clear first place. In June he was 2nd to Bulgarian GM Cheparinov in the tournament in Villafranca de lo Barros (Spain). In July Fabiano won the “Young Masters” tournament in Biel, a 17th FIDE category event lining up almost all world's strongest junior GMs. These results earned him the admission to the exclusive “Over 2700” élite in the September update of the FIDE Ranking List, in which Fabiano climbed to the 37th place with 2700 Elo points sharp. At the 39th Olympiad, played in September in Khanty-Mansiysk, he contributed with 5,5/10 on 1st board to one of the best Olympic results ever of the Italian national team, that closed in 21st position from the 30th of the initial ranking. Finally, on December 4, in Siena, Fabiano has become Italian Chess Champion for the third time, closing with the score of 9/11 (thanks to a powerful final rush of 4 wins in a row) the strongest Italian Chess Championship ever (5 GMs, average Elo 2486) and outdistancing by 1,5 points the pursuers GM Garcia Palermo and IM D'Amore (who received his first GM norm). Fabiano, with 2709 Elo points at the November update, is currently 31st in the FIDE Ranking List. He participates in the Torneo di Capodanno for the second time in a row, after scoring an excellent 3rd place in last year's tournament.
